FFE Galop® 1 Federal Guide

Fédération Française d'Équitation. Every year, 100,000 riders take their Galop® 1, the first level of the French federal riding qualifications. The official FFE Galop® 1 Federal Guide from the Fédération Française d'Équitation supports them throughout their first year of riding. Through illustrations and photos, it shows how to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become a horse rider. - General Knowledge answers the most common questions about horse riding in France, riding schools and the Federation. - Understanding the Horse explains how horses live and react, what their needs are and how to approach them safely. - Caring for the Horse describes the best practices of an accomplished horseperson. - Groundwork explains how to lead and move around the horse in complete safety. - Ridden Work summarises the practical lessons learned during riding sessions. The Guide concludes with revision quizzes for self-assessment and practice to prepare for and pass the Galop® 1 exam. THIS GUIDE IS THE ONLY OFFICIAL FFE PUBLICATION COMPLIANT WITH THE NEW SYLLABUS. Dedicated Safety, Focus, Key Points and multiple-choice boxes make learning easier, while Find Out More boxes build general equestrian knowledge.
