An anatomical bit

The anatomical shape ensures better pressure distribution in the horse’s mouth

On contact with moisture, sweet iron develops surface oxidation with a sweet taste, which stimulates saliva production and bit acceptance

Due to this oxidation process, the blue colour of the bit turns silver/brown

The bit is ideal for young, strong or sensitive horses

The cheeks apply gentle pressure to the horse’s cheeks, helping to keep the bit more stable in the mouth

The ends of the cheeks are slightly curved outwards to prevent them from pressing into the horse’s head

The cheeks of the full cheek snaffle measure 14 cm for bit sizes 9.5 to 11.5 and 16 cm for bit sizes 12.5 to 14.5 

Double-jointed:

A double-jointed bit has two joints and conforms more easily to the horse’s mouth

This bit sits more comfortably in the mouth and applies pressure to the tongue, cheeks and corners of the mouth
