Some mares can show excessive excitability when in season, making them difficult to ride and handle. This can be caused by an irregular ovarian cycle with intense seasons, though it very often results from the enlargement of the ovary as ovulation approaches. Because the ovary is suspended from the lumbar region by a ligament, its increasing weight causes inflammation of the suspensory ligament, which can be particularly painful. This pain worsens during work. Oestracalm helps ease these ovarian imbalances and improves your mare's focus when working. Indications: Moody or irritable mares when in season.
