Limited grazing and equestrian sport have completely disrupted this natural balance and led to deficiencies in our horses. Feeding oats or barley, which are high in starch, certainly provides the horse with the necessary energy, but it completely unbalances the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of the ration. This results in bone demineralisation and weakens the body on several levels. Essential Tonus provides all the complementary micronutrients that every horse needs and forms the nutritional foundation of the horse's diet. Calcium, phosphorus, copper and vitamin D ensure strong bones. Biotin promotes healthy hoof horn quality. Vitamin E and selenium support proper muscle function. SPECIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS For use during seasonal changes, growth spurts, fatigue or dietary changes. DIRECTIONS FOR USE For horses on a traditional diet (hay + oats or barley), feed ESSENTIAL TONUS continuously in the daily ration. Pregnant and lactating mares: 150 g. Stallions: 150 g. Racehorses or sport horses: 100 g. Foals from 2 months to 1 year: 50 to 85 g. Small horses and ponies: 50 to 100 g. For horses on a mixed diet (hay + pellets + oats or barley), add half of the ESSENTIAL TONUS quantities listed above to the daily ration for each type of horse.
